Updated diagram templates - Many familiar diagram templates, such as Timeline, Basic Network, Detailed Network, and Basic Shapes, have been updated and improved. Many of them have new shapes and designs, and you'll also find new and updated Containers and Labels, plus it's much easier to add images to all employee shapes at once.

Comment on diagrams through threaded conversations - The new comments pane makes it easy to add, read, reply to, and track comments from reviewers. Replies to comments are easy to track in comment threads. You can also follow (or reply to) comments by clicking the comment bubble in the diagram.

New styles, themes, and tools - Use a variety of formatting options from Office applications right in your Visio diagrams. Enhance your shapes and enhance them with transitions, shading, 3D effects, or rotation. Quick Styles let you control the appearance of individual shapes so you can make them stand out. Each style has a unique combination of colors, shadows, reflections, and other effects, adding a fresh touch to your diagrams.

Organization Chart - The Organization Chart template includes new shapes and styles designed specifically for organization charts. Plus, it's much easier to add images to all employee forms at once.

SharePoint Workflow - The new SharePoint workflow template now supports stages, steps, loops, and custom actions.

BPMN 2.0 support - The BPMN (Business Process Modeling Notation) template supports BPMN version 2.0, which corresponds to the Analytics compliance class.

Format shapes with Office Art shape effects - Now you can use many of the formatting options from Office applications in Visio diagrams. You can enhance your shapes with transitions, shading, spatial effects, or rotation.

Duplicate an entire page - It's now much easier to create a copy of a page. Right-click the page tab, and then click Duplicate.

Use a single file format for both desktop and web - Visio saves diagrams in a new file format (.vsdx), which is the default format on desktops and for browser viewing in SharePoint. You no longer need to use different formats for different purposes. Visio also reads and writes in .vssx, .vstx, .vsdm, .vssm, and .vstm formats.
